Standard Consultations – Are by appointment only. A standard appointment is 15 minutes. If you think you may need extra time, please ask the receptionist.
Some reasons for extra time:
- Insurance medicals
- Superannuation/employment medicals
- Psychological problems or counseling
- Several problems
- Consultations for more than one family member
- Taxi, truck & bus licences
- Our staff will make every effort to ensure that the waiting time is kept to a minimum however delays are sometimes unavoidable .Emergency / Urgent Consultations

Please notify the surgery as early as possible so that the appointment time can be reallocated. Kurralta Park Surgery has a policy that if two consecutive appointments are missed without notification, then no more appointments are to be made for this patient. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care we are keen to know about it. Please feel free to speak to your doctor or the receptionist. If you do not wish to speak to a doctor personally, please write to the surgery outlining your concerns.
Telephoning your Doctor
If you need to contact your doctor, please phone during normal consulting hours. A message will be taken if the doctor concerned is with a patient. In the event of an emergency, all calls will initially be handled by one of the Registered Nurses.
Prescriptions & Referrals
In the interest of better health care, an appointment is required for repeat prescriptions or referrals.
Test & X-ray results
Unless previously authorised by the doctor, a further appointment will be necessary to discuss the results.
It is recommended that Pap smears are repeated every two years unless there have been previous abnormalities. Our surgery will attempt to send a reminder when your next Pap smear is due.

This practice operates a reminder system for preventative health screening.

If you require medical attention(after hours, Weekends or Public Holidays) please phone 08 8293 2994 for assistance. These calls will be diverted to our locum service.
Alternatively, if an emergency, ring 000.
