Appointment Details

01. Standard Consultations

A standard appointment is 15 minutes (10 minutes for Dr Patel, Dr Sam Perera, and Dr Ananth). If you think you may need extra time, please ask the receptionist. If you would like to discuss health issues of several family members, please make an appointment for each family member. One appointment, One patient ONLY. Please be aware that you cannot discuss multiple health issues in a standard consultation. 1-2 health issues for 10-15 minutes.

Complex / Multiple health issues will require a longer appointment. Please call reception to arrange an appointment. Some reasons for extra time (Extended consultations) (20 Minutes)

Our staff will make every effort to ensure that the waiting time is kept to a minimum, however delays are sometimes unavoidable.

02. Emergency

Please call 000 for an ambulance in an immediate life-threatening Emergency, such as:

Chest pain or chest tightness

Sudden numbness or paralysis of the face, arm or leg

Serious accidents or trauma

Severe bleeding

Difficulty breathing

Extreme pain

Unconsciousness

03. After Hours

If you require medical attention after hours, weekends or public holidays please phone 8293-2994 or 13 74 25 for assistance. The call will be directly diverted to our locum service who provide home visits. These visits are bulk billed by the locum service.

04. Cancelled Appointments

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the surgery at least 24 hours prior so that the appointment time can be reallocated. If you miss an appointment without enough notice, you will be issued with a “No Show or Did Not Attend” notification letter on your first missed appointment. Should you miss another appointment without enough notice, you will be issued with another “No Show or Did Not Attend” letter alongside a DNA fee of $50 that’s payable immediately or at the time of your next appointment as the latest.

If you fail to attend a longer appointment, Such as extended consultation, GP Management Plan and Health Assessment, skin lesion or any other procedures, without 24 hours’ advance notice, a non-cancellation fee will be charged immediately. And a higher fee will be charged depending on the type and length of missed appointment.

05. New Patients

If you are new to our practice, contact us on 8293 2994 to arrange an appointment. The doctor may request a longer appointment for the first visit in order to obtain enough information for current health problems and related issues such as medical history, family history, immunisation records, allergy history and lifestyle. In addition, you will need to arrive 15 minutes prior to the appointment time to complete the New Patient Information Form before you see a Doctor. 06. Vaccinations and Injections

Vaccinations and injections are performed by a nurse. Please make sure to book an appointment with nurse as well as your regular GP.

Child Immunisations (2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 4 years) are conducted from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. An appointment is required with your GP and the immunisation nurse. 12 and 18 month olds require a half an hour appointment with the nurse.

07. Online booking

Online bookings are available through HotDoc. Link is found on our home page under “Book Appointment”.
If you need an appointment for the following reasons, please call the surgery to make an appointment, allowing reception to allocate appropriate time.

08. Telephone Consultations

Can be made via our reception staff for COVID positive patients or as directed by the treating doctor. This is as long as the patient has been to the surgery within the past 12 months. Consults will not be bulk-billed unless the patient has a valid concession card. Or is under 16 year patient must be present for telephone consult to occur.
