Child Immunisations

(2, 4, 6, 12, 18 Months - 4 Years Old)

Childhood immunisations are conducted on 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. An appointment is required with your GP and the immunisation nurse. 12 and 18 month olds require a half an hour appointment with the nurse. All other immunisations, 15 minutes. You are required to stay in the surgery for 15 minutes after the immunisation in case of reaction.

Immunisations For Adults

We offer immunisations under The National Immunisation Program. If you’re eligible for Medicare benefits, you can get the vaccine for free. (A standard consultation fee will be charged.)

Patients who are not eligible to receive the free vaccine are able to purchase the vaccine from a Pharmacy. A script will be provided by your GP for private purchase at the patient’s cost.

Influenza Vaccination Patients aged 65 and over, pregnant women, ATSI patient aged 6 months to 5 years, 15 years and over, patients with certain chronic conditions at 15 years of age and over
Shingles Vaccination Patients aged 70 -79 years of age
Hepatitis B immunisation Patients who are at an increased risk of developing hepatitis B infection. (for e.g. Health Worker)
Pneumococcal immunisation Patients aged 65 years or over, ATSI patients aged 50 years or over, Patients who have certain medical condition, etc.
Whooping Cough Vaccination Pregnant women in their third trimester

Injections

We no longer store the patient’s vaccine at the surgery. Please be aware to purchase & bring your vaccine in before your consultation.

Vaccination and injections are performed by a nurse. Please make sure to book an appointment with nurse as well as your regular GP.
